Mission Statement:


"The mission of Friends of Lake Swan Camp, Inc. is to provide business, financial and strategic assistance to enhance the capability of Lake Swan Camp to meet their goals and objectives."

In line with this statement, we have developed the following Operating Principles to ensure that our objectives are met with the highest possible standard of excellence.

Eliminate all debt of Lake Swan Camp

85% of LSC debt removed

Increase our donor network of "Friends"

168 "Donor Friends" added
Over 2000 "Praying Friends" added

Repair and modernize existing facilities of Lake Swan Camp

5 Facilities repaired and 1 Facility modernized in 2007




Board of Directors for FLSC, Inc.:


Tim Huggins, President/Director

Mr. Huggins has 6 years of college level study with emphasis in Missiology, Theology and Aviation Technology, was the founder and Director of Bradford Energy Corporation for 4 years, vice-president of American Tire Recyclers, a trustee of Friendship Bible Church, a captain for Atlantic Southeast Airlines and a camper and volunteer for Lake Swan Camp and on the Board of Directors of Lake Swan Camp.



Sandra Lugo, Secretary/Treasurer

Mrs. Lugo is a former critical care nurse and educator. She attended LSC as a teenager and worked as LSC nurse in 1977. She has a Bachelor of Science in Work Force Education from Southern Illinois University. She is experienced in developing and managing real estate. She learned to ski at LSC!



Ray Lugo, Director

Mr. Lugo has a Bachelor's degree in Education fromt he University of North Florida and a Master's degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Appalachain State University, is a Church Elder at Friendship Bible Church, a volunteer at the Veteran's Affairs hospital and for the Montana State Parks and Recreation department, and was a camper and counselor for Lake Swan Camp. Mr. Lugo worked at LSC for several summers starting in 1962 as a dishwasher. He learned to ski and slalom at LSC!



Samuel Ferrell, Jr., Director

Mr. Ferrel has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, is the owner of Ferrell Industries, is on the board of directors for both Good Shepard Counsel and North Shore Alliance Church, and was a camper and counselor at Lake Swan Camp.



Diane Strasbaugh, Director

Ms. Strasbaugh has a Bachelor's degree in Missiology, is a Registered Nurse, an office manager for a dental lab, and a director for the Shooter Creek Basket Weaving Guild.



Paul Coleman, Director

Rev. Coleman has a Bachelor's degree in Theology, a Master's degree in Divinity, is the Senior Pastor for Friendship Bible Church, Chaplain to the Keystone Heights Fire Department and on the Board of Directors for Lake Swan Camp.






Brief History:


Friends of Lake Swan Camp, Inc. was founded in January of 2007, and is officially recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The Board of Directors was elected the same year and stands for a X year term. In 2007, the FLSC, Inc. network contributed over $79,000.00 for renovations and repairs to Lake Swan Camp. Your Contribution at Work:


To get the most out of your contribution, every attempt has been made to reduce the operating costs of FLSC, Inc.. As such, all board members are volunteers, items for raffle and give away have been donated (or bought by FLSC, Inc. at reduced cost) by companies or organizations that support FLSC, Inc., all work projects are entirely staffed by volunteers, and over head costs have been strictly limited. God tells us to be good stewards of the gifts He has given, and we strive to do just that.
